hello! my name is Atia and my family owns Blue Pacific. as of right now, we don't have an an exact date to open back up. we are in the process doing some remodeling to improve our restaurant. I apologize for the extremely wait, the remodeling process is taking longer than we expected. We do a majority of our announcements on our Facebook page at Blue Pacific at Hoover Food Mart. I will update everyone once I hear more! Again, thank you for your patience! I promise, once we open, it'll be worth the wait!!
Tuesday - Saturday 11:00-2:00 & 5:30-8:30
I celebrated my graduation today in this great place. Well we had a brilliant evening and the place was absolutely the reason for this strong event. The stuff participated in a lovely style, the food was extremely good and my guests were so happy. We shall surely return for more events. thanks very much.
The food was amazing! We thoroughly enjoy our take out. The staff was very helpful and polite. Its authentic pad Thai food cooked in an old converted gas station, whats not to love! 🤤🤤🤤
Omg so yummy! Definitely will be eating here more often. Only con is their parking lot is small and their food is awesome. Their neighbors get cranky when people park in their empty lots.
My favorite spot to get some delicious Thai. Always busy and this is for a reason. Super nice staff. Super good food. Great prices.
Word of mouth got me here and I've gotta say, everyone's right. Amazing food. And the prices are reasonable.
Very elegant and welcoming place. They offer large portions and for inexpensive prices. We liked the food very much and the waiters were super friendly and informative. Highly recommended.
Blue Pacific is hands down one of the best Thai restaurants that I've ever eaten at. My kids love the shrimp fried rice and every dish that I've tried has been yummy. The prices can't be beat and the service is prompt and courteous. While the ambiance and decor might lead some to drive on by, don't sleep on this place. It is a hidden gem!
I LOVE this place! The food is great and the people are super friendly! My favorite is the spicy basil rice with chicken. I probably order it 2x a week. It’s super popular and I only wish it were a bit bigger to accommodate more customers
Delicious Thai food at a great price served fast. The only con is the small parking lot and limited seating, but you can always get food to go.
Excellent food and service. No frills, it's all about the meal here. Great deal, only $8-12 for lunch. One of the best little "hole in the wall" places you will ever find. Everything I have tried so far has exceeded expectations. Parking can be a challenge around noon, I have parked across the street before.
A Hidden Gem, food and service stand out, unlike some other restaurant owners, these owners are especially honest and don't trick customers with deceptive marketing.
This is absolutely one of the most attractive place in the neighborhood. Whenever I come there I am deeply satisfied. They preserve their very high standard service and the topmost level of meals they serve. You will be always satisfied with this place. Very recommended.
It was FANFREAKINGTASTIC food was delicious and didn't taste heavy. I had the shrimp fried rice and spring rolls. Made fresh to order but came out quickly. Will definitely be back again and again.
The parking here is a nightmare, and this should be worked on. However there is good reason for that. The food is phenomenal. It’s deeply flavored and always super fresh. My favorites are the spring rolls and either of the Thai basil dishes. Also, the homemade chili blends and condiments are amazing.
The best Thai food ever, and I cannot wait to go back and explore the other menu offerings. The restaurant has made good use of one of Hoover's old abandoned gas station, and turned it into a gem. While the building may appear to have some age on it the kitchen does not; in fact, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the kitchen. The staff were very dedicated and completely about the customer. If you like Thai food the Blue Pacific is where it's at in Alabama.
I love this place! The best Pad Kee Mao ever ( I have ordered 3 times this week) and excellent staff. So happy it’s 5 minutes away from me!
Most people would not even consider this place because it's on an old convenience store, but don't judge. This place has some of the best thai food I've ever had. Green curry was amazing and the red penang was fantastic. GO EAT.
Crazy good. Food was fast and hot. So authentic. I will b back. Lived it.
This is an edit to the review below. The Pad Thai is the only dish I eat here. I give 5 Stars when I think someone goes that extra step, like the egg net they used to put on this dish. Not sure why, but they don't do this anymore. Too bad, it made a good place, amazing in my opinion...... I try Pad Thai everywhere I Go, and Blue Pacific absolutely has the best in my opinion! Hole in the wall actually kind of looks like a gas station, I think it used to be a gas station. Totally worth the trip!
It's a strange little hole in the wall, but the food is great. From the outside it kinda looks like a gas station, and to be honest it's a little dreary inside, but the food more than makes up for it. Service was fast, people were friendly. It's not fine dining but I definitely recommend.
Thie service is exceptional. A family operated restaurant within what appears to have once been a neighborhood store front. The prices are fair for the portions served. The food holds flavors of true Thai homecooking. The spring rolls were filled with meat and vegetables and the sauce was delicious together. The noodle dishes were stir fried with meat and vegetables and the entire dish was packed with flavor. If you are looking for good food and willing to wait for true authentic Thai flavors, this place is definitely for you.
Very elegant and accessible restaurant. They serve generous portions and for inexpensive prices. I enjoyed the menu a lot and the staff were very friendly and explanatory. Recommended.
Very good Thai food. I have been twice in 2 weeks and can't wait to go back. Pricing is great too!
I love Blue Pacific. The food is so fresh and consistently great. Service is always fast and friendly. The Pad Kee Mao is the best on the menu, and you can get it with extra meat and extra vegetables and it’s still only $12. I see why this place has such a cult following!
Unique place! The restaurant used to be a gas station and the food is great. Staff is really friendly and professional 😊
People are really nice there. The food is very well cooked and taste like authentic Thai food. I love their spiciness they add and their spicy seasonings they have.🤤🥘
Phenomenal Thai. I love hot, and this lit me up in the best way. Chicken basil and fried tofu. Amazeballs.
This restaurant is a hidden gem! If you are vegetarian, this restaurant is perfect for you. There are tons of vegetarian options and you can substitute meats for vegetables or tofu for an extra fee. As a vegetarian, my favorite dish from here is the Pad Si Ew noodles with tofu. The portion sizes are not bad and the prices are not either. I have eaten Thai food at numerous restaurants, and this one is one of my favorites. I recommend ordering takeout instead of eating at the restaurant, as it is a little bit cramped inside. Also, the parking lot is very small.
Best Thai food in a gas station that I ever had. You have to ask for vegetarian options but Pad Thai Tofu is the best I ever had. Portions are perfect, value is great, chef is nice. Why not 5 stars? Plates and utensils are disposables and I believe that every table deserves a jar of their green sauce.
Some of the best Thai food you'll find in Birmingham, at amazing prices! It just happens to be in a (former) gas station. Service is friendly, but there can be a wait depending on when you visit.
Amazing food! My husband eats here for lunch all the time, and I finally got to try it. Best Thai food I've had around here!
Great Thai food. My favorite is the spring rolls with extra sauce. They're always fresh. I love the coconut soup with chicken. Also love when they have the specials the Curry noodle bowl is one you should not miss
Good place - absolute hole-in-the-wall, but the food and service from the cook and family are both great. Not the biggest fan of Thai food, but tried the dumplings and Pad Thai and was thoroughly satisfied! As someone else mentioned, probably time to move shop to an actual restaurant bldg. But for now, a food mart/former gas station is as good a place as any for a decent meal.
I had been trying to get to this restaurant for I while. Stopped by once before and they were randomly closed, but the stars aligned today. We arrived and there was one parking space. Once we ordered one table opened up 😂😂 couldn't have been more perfect. The service was good and the food was as well! I had the ginger shrimp and we had an order of spring rolls (without meat) and it was all good!
One of my absolute favorite places to eat in Birmingham! Fantastic food, served with the warm friendly service you can only get at a family run restaurant. Do not miss this place!
Good food in a very casual atmosphere. Give it a try!
Delicious food! Great price! Panang chicken is one of my favorite dish. Try the Papaya salad too!
One of my go-to spots to grab something to eat. very good location, well kept, and excellent customer service. A must try!
Been going there since it opened. It's family owned, customer service is fantastic, everything is fresh and delicious!
Good food, good value of money
This spot is worth a try. They serve large portions for fair rates. Always clean and with great ambience. Will come back again.
This place is great! I'm Thai, I've eaten Thai everywhere and I was so impressed and happy to dine with them. Hole in the wall restaurants are the best and should always be on a list.
Awesome Thai food! But I tried calling in an order multiple times and the phone just rang and rang. We had to wait 20 minutes once we got there. They also wouldn’t switch out rice in one of the dishes for noodles. I was willing to pay for the substitution. I think the woman taking the order just didn’t want to bother asking the kitchen for me. That being said, the food was good enough to earn them 4 stars despite the lack of customer service. Yum!
Delicious food & a unique/quirky setting. Two things I love.
Everything here that we get is always so good! Full of flavor and at a great price! They stay busy so you have to stay on top of it if you want to get their food. I personally love their chicken wings, pad thai, and spicy basil beef!
Some of the best fried rice I've had. The green sauce was delicious as well.
Loved it, I have been craving this meal ever since trying it. Can’t wait to go back and try something else. Not much seating or parking as people have said but that’s part of its charm. Highly recommend.
Oh my gosh.... the most amazing food... Coconut Soup, Pork & Noodle Soup, Spring Rolls and Pad Thai (shrimp&chicken). Absolutely everything was out of this world good. The Pad Thai is THE best I have ever, EVER had. We consumed it all so fast I didn’t get any pictures! Lol I will absolutely be coming back. Very soon.
This place is amazing! Everything I have had has been excellent. The price is great considering it's authentic and made fresh to order. Highly recommend this place.
Best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. Very authentic with reasonable prices. A must try!
